What Is the Difference Between Peshawari and Charsadda Chappal?
Peshawari chappal and Charsadda chappal are both handmade leather sandals from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, worn with shalwar kameez. The names overlap a lot in everyday use. In shops, Peshawari chappal usually means the classic styles such as Kaptaan and Norozi, and Charsadda chappal usually means the more decorated, stitched and open designs.
Where the names come from
Peshawar is the best known market for this sandal, so the whole family is often called Peshawari chappal, or kheri. Charsadda, a town near Peshawar, is known for chappal making, and the stitched designs made there are often sold as Charsadda chappal.

Which one should you buy?

Are both made by hand?
Traditional pairs of both kinds are cut and stitched by hand. Every Zalmi pair, Peshawari or Charsadda, is made by craftsmen in Charsadda.
